Sunday, June 14, 2015 — Fishkill Farms Annual Strawberry Jammin’ Festival

Celebrate the end of spring and the beginning of summer with the arrival of strawberries! On Sunday, June 14 from 11am to 4pm, head over to Fishkill Farms for its Strawberry Jammin’ Festival. Highlights include reggae music by The Big Takeover, homemade strawberry shortcake, strawberry craft for kids and (weather permitting) lots of sweet pick-your-own strawberries. This Fishkill Farms tradition is truly a jam not to be missed! The farm store sells cider donuts, coffee, sweets, pies, fresh local produce, and more.

Sunday, June 14, 2015 — Beacon Sloop Club Annual Strawberry Festival

A tradition since 1969! Sunday, June 14, 2015 12 noon-5pm rain or shine BSC STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL. Pete & Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, 1 Flynn Drive, Beacon, NY Fresh made strawberry shortcake, strawberry smoothies, chocolate strawberries. Chris Bowser, of the Hudson River Eel Project, and Tom Lake will demonstrate smoking and planking of local rainbow trout. Free samples will be given out to guests, starting at 1pm. Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12, 2015 — Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival
[Where: on the Poughkeepsie waterfront just south of Shadows on the Hudson (176 Rinaldi Boulevard in your GPS), a mass launch planned for Friday 7/10 at 6 p.m.]
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 25th Annual Hot-Air Balloon Festival on July 10, 11 and 12, 2015. This event will demonstrate, once again, the tremendous pride the community has in its cities and towns. It has grown and expanded, reflecting the enormous collaboration among leaders, businesses, schools, organizations and residents within our community.
About 100 balloon launches are planned throughout the weekend, utilizing a record 25 balloons. On Friday and Saturday evenings at 6 p.m., mass launches are planned on the banks of the Hudson River from the area just south of Shadows on the Hudson. On Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6 a.m., mass launches are planned from the Dutchess County Airport. There will also be moon-glows planned during the evening hours. Aug 25 – 30, 2015 — The Dutchess County Fair

For six days each August, the bucolic fairgrounds on Route 9 in Rhinebeck plays host to nearly half a million patrons. The second largest county fair in New York State is the showplace for agriculture in Dutchess County. Over 144 acres of finely manicured gardens and grass create the beautiful setting for thousands of farm animals, agricultural exhibits and horticultural displays.

Saturday and Sunday September 12 – 13th, 2015 — Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
Our Hudson Valley is known for amazing producers of food and wine. 2015 will be the 14th year of the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest. Saturday & Sunday, August 9th and 8th 2015 — Putnam County Wine and Food Fest

The Putnam County NY Wine & Food Fest in Patterson, NY is a two-day event, held at Beaver Creek Farm, showcasing New York’s and beyond most renowned wine and spirit producers. The fest also features a beer and VIP tent, cooking demonstrations, food, and arts and crafts, local and international artists. We are also working on activities for children (so stay tuned). It is ideally located in the Hudson Valley region and also a stone’s throw away from Pawling, Dutchess County, NY, New Fairfield and Danbury, CT.
Bring your blankets and chairs to our fifth annual Putnam County Wine & Food Fest which is taking place on Saturday, August 8 (11am until 6pm), and Sunday, August 9 (11am until 5pm), 2015.
Getting to the Wine Fest from New York City and other towns is a breeze too. Customers can take Metro-North’s Harlem Line to the Southeast Station to connect with free shuttle buses to and from Wine Fest during these hours, Saturday & Sunday: 11:29am, 12:29pm, 1:28pm and 2:29pm. Then from the venue Saturday beginning at 4pm until 6:15pm and Sunday beginning 3pm until 5:15pm. Parking is available at the Metro North’s Patterson Train station with free shuttle buses to and from Wine Fest during Festival hours.
